Find Reference Images
Tool name: find_references
Searches online image sites and your local Eagle library at the same time, pulling every result into a single picker. Once you check what you want, you can save it, import it into Eagle, or pin it to a Reference Board directly.
When to Use It
- You need fresh inspiration and want to gather references from the web in bulk
- You want to dig through both your own Eagle library and external image sites at once, to make sure nothing slips through
- You need to save or pin the images you find in one consistent flow, instead of browsing them piecemeal
How to Use It
Through an Agent Conversation
Just describe what you're looking for, and the Agent will automatically pick the keywords, translate them, run the search, and consolidate the results:
- "Find some cyberpunk-style reference images"
- "Search Pixiv for recently popular mecha illustrations"
- "Find a few pose references for chibi characters"
- "Gather detail shots of European architecture doors and windows"
Manually from the Toolbox
Find "Find Reference Images" in the toolbox, enter your keywords, and run it. This is best when you already know exactly what search terms you want and don't need the Agent to reason for you.
Search Sources
find_references can query the following sources in parallel and merge the results into a single card picker. By default it goes to the three cloud sources (Pixiv / ArtStation / Pinterest — the latter two need Wisp online); the local Eagle library / Find Similar are only brought in when you explicitly ask to search your own collection, e.g. "look in my library" or "is there anything in my Eagle":

Pinterest / Huaban / ArtStation go through the Wisp browser extension (using your own logged-in session); without Wisp installed, these sources are unavailable. Results from every source are shown grouped by source in the same picker, and you can batch-select across sources.
Why doesn't it sweep your local library by default? A billed Agent turn should spend itself on gathering from the web — local search has its own free entry point (the resource drawer at the bottom), no Agent required.
Reading the Results
When the search finishes, an image picker pops up, and each result card shows a thumbnail and basic info from the source site. You can:

The top-left corner of each card labels its source (Pixiv / Pinterest / Huaban / Eagle), so you can gauge result quality at a glance.
Limitations and Notes
What if there are no results?
The tool returns a status for each source (success / no match / network unreachable / login required). If every source comes back empty, the Agent will tell you so honestly and suggest changing keywords, checking your network, or confirming whether your Eagle library has relevant assets.
Pixiv finds nothing but other sources have results?
That's normal. Pixiv's Japanese keyword matching is very strict, so if the translation isn't quite right or the subject is uncommon on Pixiv, this can happen — the other sources will fill in the gaps.
Can I specify which platforms to search?
Yes. The default is the three cloud sources (Pixiv / ArtStation / Pinterest); to search your own collection, just say so in conversation, e.g. "look in my Eagle library." Pinterest / Huaban / ArtStation require the Wisp browser extension to be installed first.
