Trending Discovery & Artist Subscriptions

Want to know what everyone's been drawing lately and which up-and-coming artists are worth following, without refreshing a website all day long? Nephele puts the trending charts and artist subscriptions into a single panel: browse the charts and dig up new artists under "Discover", follow anyone you like with one click, and from then on their new work automatically flows into "Following".

Discover: Browse the Charts, Dig Up New Artists

The "Discover" tab surfaces the platform's hottest content:

  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly charts — the most popular illustrations right now
  • Features (pixivision) — themed collections hand-picked by the platform's editors

The charts are laid out as a tiled grid, with each card marked by its rank (#1, #2…) or a "Feature" or "New" badge. Open any of them to:

  • Switch to the image preview and view it full-size
  • Follow the artist directly if they're a good fit
  • Save the image (to your local drive / Eagle / pin it to a Reference Board) for reference

提示

The trending charts are pulled from the cloud and work out of the box — no Wisp extension required.

Following: Your Artist Subscription Feed

Artists you've followed land in the "Following" tab. When they post new work, this tab updates — effectively a self-curated "just these people" feed that sidesteps the noise of a platform's home page.

If you've installed Nephele Aura on your phone, updates from artists you follow can even be pushed to your phone.

技巧

Free users can subscribe to up to 10 artists; with a paid license (Architect's Seal) the cap rises to 100. Picking the people you genuinely want to follow long-term is more useful than blindly following a huge crowd.

X Source Subscriptions

Beyond Pixiv, you can also subscribe to artists on X (Twitter) directly by @handle. The X source is swept automatically by the server twice a day, fetching only posts with images — text-only posts cost nothing. New image posts are delivered straight to your feed, no manual refresh needed.

Costs

ItemCost
Following an artist (Pixiv / X)Free
New-work delivery (Pixiv)Free
New-work delivery (X)25 cloud credits / post
Pulling recent works into the libraryPixiv: 2 cloud credits / image · X: 25 / image

Charges always draw from your daily stamina first (the free allowance during beta, reset every day), and only touch your cloud-credit balance once stamina is gone. If your balance runs low, X auto-delivery pauses and you get a notification on your phone; it resumes automatically once you top up, and a daily spending cap keeps spending bounded. Pulling recent works is billed by the number of images actually fetched, and re-pulling the same range within 24 hours is free.

Auto-Save to Library

You can assign a library folder to each subscription: new work from that artist is automatically saved into it once fetched, while still appearing in the feed as usual. No more moving images around by hand.

Nicknames

You can give an artist a local nickname to make them easier to recognize (it only lives on your own device and is never synced to any platform).

Pull Recent Works into the Library

When you've just followed an artist, you can pull their recent works into your library in one go — backfill the library first, then let the subscription feed keep up with new posts. Pulling is billed per image; see the cost table above.

How Sensitive Updates Are Handled

Updates flagged as sensitive don't show their content in the subscription feed; you can go check on the platform yourself.

The Discover panel isn't just for "looking" — it connects to the work that comes after:

  1. Browse the daily chart under "Discover" and spot a set of compositions useful for your current project
  2. Open the preview, save a few of them to Eagle, and tag them
  3. Follow the artist while you're at it, then keep up with their updates
  4. When you need to, head back to Find References and let the Agent expand these leads into a full set of references
